UK Scrap Addicts Blog Hop – Fun at Wellington

Hello everyone!

Today’s layout is for the UK Scrap Addicts blog hop, where the challenge was to use scraps and scraps only! So it was the perfect opportunity for me to take out my Simple Stories “I AM” scraps out!

Here is my layout:

I have been pretty mojo-less in the last few days, so I used a layout that was shared on For the Love of Pretty Paper for our Zig Zag challenge. It is a beautiful layout and I hope I’ve done it justice!ย After looking for the creator of the layout for quite a while, I finally found the original on the Crate Paper blog and the designer was Anabelle O’Malley.ย
And another close up:

Scrapbook layout – 3 cheeky monkeys

Hello friends!

For today’s layout I wanted to use scraps and that is absolutely what I’ve done! Not a single full piece of paper was cut to create this layout!

The four stripes of paper surrounding the turquoise cardstock are the only leftovers, proper scraps!!, from the layout I made the other day for the Silhouette UK blog. The turquoise cardstock and background stripey paper are also scraps! For the embellishments, I took a half-used pack of “snip-its” by Cocoa Vanilla Studio, form the Colour Me Happy collection.

Scrapbook layout – First ever S’mores

Hello friends!

Today layout I made for the Mercy Tiara 27 Day Scrapbook Challenge on Facebook. The challenge was to use the following:

  • Autumn related layout
  • 4 pattern papers
  • Use a stamp
  • Multiple photos
  • Include journalling on the page
  • Use die cuts

In addition to the required elements, I also included three extra items from Moira’s tic tac toe challenge, which were

  • Add journalling on a tag
  • Use thread or twine
  • Make it leafy!

And here is my layout!

It may not seem like it, but there really are four pattern papers in there! Two in the main vertical line, and two more mounting the photo ๐Ÿ™‚ A couple more close ups:

Scrapbook layout – Pretty rainbow

Hi all!

Today’s layout is inspired by the first fortnightly sketch over at Stuck?! Sketches. When I first saw it I said “this is perfect to use my 5kg box of scraps” and I did! I used my box of scraps! I’ve only made a little dent on it, it is still 4.999 kgs ๐Ÿ˜€

Because the photo I was scrapping was of a rainbow, I knew I had to make a rainbow of pattern papers ๐Ÿ™‚ Here it is:

And here is the sketch!

As you can see in the sketch, under the strips of pattern paper, there are some splatters of mixed media. I wanted to keep my background quite white, so I sprayed with my White Heidi Shine and the result is quite subtle, but I love the shimmery effect. I am not sure how well it can be appreciated in the photo. I also used a bit with Tinsel Heidi Shine and a few black watercolour splatters. I should have waited until the ink sprays were dry before adding the watercolour splatters, as they run a bit…

For the embellishments, I used “Life is Beautiful” by Fancy Pants, and some buttons and sequins from my stash.
