Hello everyone! I think this is going to be my last layout of the month unless I manage to get something else done at the weekend!
So today’s layout is inspired on Stick it Down‘s July single page sketch. As you will see from the video below, I started the layout following the sketch quite closely, but when it came to putting my photos down, I decided to rotate it. This means, though, that the stars at the top are not very straight, but this does not bother me too much.
I decided to use lots of washi tape. There was a conversation on FTLOPP about washi tape, and I realised how little I use mine, so I picked my favourite colour combination and made stars out of them 🙂
Here’s my layout, and the video!
And one more closeup:
Thanks for visiting, and read you very soon!
The other day I made this layout for one of this month’s sketch challenges over on For the Love of Pretty Paper. I was really drawn to the sketch I chose because of the use of multiple photos.
Here is my layout and the sketch:
And I also made a process video, so pop over YouTube to see more of how I created it and hear about the story behind the photos!
I hope you have liked it, and thanks for popping by!
Hello once again!
Today I bring you the last installment of my Chinese Whispers game!
For this set, my layout was the last in the series, and this series is the one where each layout is almost unrecognisable from the previous one and no resemblance to the original sketch!
Here is the sketch:
First take on the sketch by Michelle:
Who then passed it on to Lis:
Who then passed it to Helen:
And finally, my take on Helen’s layout:
This layout was hilarious to make, and a couple of people have commented on scrapbooking something so gross. But, hey, why not? Why scrapbook about first steps, first words, first everythings… So first lice infestation too! 😀
Thanks for joining me today and read you soon!
Today I bring you another layout from the Chinese whispers game I was telling you about yesterday. This is one of my most favourite layouts recently, I just love how well the black background works!
I was third on this round, so here are the sketch and the other layouts in order:
Unlike my set yesterday where all layouts stayed very similar to the original sketch, this set has changed so much from the first one to the last! Great evolution!
I hope you have liked it and read you very soon!
Hello everyone and happy Monday!
Today’s layout is part of a crafty game that I took part on the Mind The Scrap group, called Chinese Whispers. The concept is very simple: One person creates a layout based on a sketch, then sends it to person number 2 to scraplift, who then passes on to person three and then four (or as many people as you want in your group!). There were four of us in my group.
So today I am going to show you the first set of Chinese whispers that started with me. I based my layout on a sketch I found on Pinterest, and created my layout with my June Lottie Loves Paper kit. Here it is:
I may retake the photo again at some point as this is not the best quality.
And here is the sketch:
I then passed on my layout to Helen, she passed hers to Lis, who passed hers to Michelle. Here are the next three:
And a close up of my layout so you can see the painted wood heart:
Thanks for popping over friends, and read you very soon!
