Hello all again!
My second project for The Social Papercrafter Magazine is a card based on a sketch. I very usually follow sketches for scrapbook layouts but I don’t do so for cards that often. I have in the past, but it’s not something I tend to do.
However, when I saw the sketch for the card in this edition of the magazine, I knew I wanted to give it a go. Especially, because the sketch is quite simple, which for me is much more helpful than when the sketch is quite complex with lots of detail, because then you tend to overthink things. With simple sketches, it’s easier to come up with a quick idea in your head and then extend that original idea.
And here are the sketch and my card:
Thanks for looking and read you very very soon! (It IS National Scrapbooking Day -weekend, actually- starting tomorrow!!!)
Welcome to my blog and to my last layout as Design Team Member for Stuck Sketches! My term is up and I am going to be sad to not be part of this amazing team any more. At the same time, you know how much I’ve struggled to find time to scrap in the last few months, so my term being up perhaps not the end of the world.
This month’s sponsors are Creative Embellishments and Scrapbook Nerd and this is the gorgeous sketch that I’ve based my layout on:
And here’s my page!
As you can see, I have used one long photo rather than two square ones.
This photo was taken at last October’s Scrap Cafe retreat and I am so happy to be surrounded by super talented scrapbookers!
Thanks for joining me today, and read you soon hopefully!
Welcome to February 15th Stuck Sketches reveal! This month we had two sketches to choose from and I decided to go for this one:
As you will be able to see from my photo below, I decided to rotate the sketch 90 degrees. The photo that I wanted to play with was portrait, so rotating the sketch worked better for me:
As I’ve used doilies quite a lot recently, I decided to do a bit of messy splattering where the doily would be. Very happy with my embellishment clusters too!
I hope you have enjoyed this layout, and I really encourage you to participate! We have really great sponsors this month with Cuts2Love and Lawn Fawn, so what a great incentive!
I completely forgot to publish this layout here on my blog the other week! I made it for UK Scrap Addicts using a lovely sketch, and I even made a process video! You can find the original UKSA blog here.
Here’s my layout and the sketch:
And here is my video!
Thanks for looking and read you soon!
Hello everyone, and happy February!
This month’s first sketch from Stuck Sketches is a super gorgeous one! To be honest, they are all gorgeous, but I particularly love the layout I have created with it. Here’s my page!
And here’s the sketch:
This month’s sponsors are: Accent Scrapbooking with a $25 gift voucher and Scrapbook Nerd with a $20 gift voucher.
