Good morning! Today I bring you my newest project for the Silhouette UK blog design team.
I’ve got a little secret to tell you… I have had my Silhouette Cameo for almost three years and I have never used the Print and Cut function… Until today! Crazy, huh? Being in the Silhouette design team is really going to make me make the most of my machine!
I was perusing the Silhouette Design Store and came across a gorgeous floral monogram, and I knew exactly there and then what I wanted to do: a beautiful scrapbooking layout featuring my precious little girl.
Please pop over the Silhouette UK blog to read more about my first adventure in Print and Cut!
Here is my layout:
I hope you have liked it and read you soon!
Hello lovely scrappers!
Today I bring you layout #3 for Lottie Loves Paper.
Have I mentioned before how amazing this kit is? Well, in case you haven’t heard me say it before… it is! The lovely Sarah is also opening subscriber spaces from April onwards, so if you are thinking of subscribing, now is the moment! Go to the website and look for Monthly Kits.
So, my layout today is inspired on one of the layouts that I did at the Paige Evans workshop. For her class I chose the star die cut, however there was an option of a heart in the same style. When I sat down to create this layout, I wanted to have hearts and this cut file from the Silhouette store was just what I wanted.
I used the papers from the kit for backing my hearts. They are a mixture of Dear Lizzy Lovely Day and Pink Paislee Oh my Heart. The embellishments, both normal stickers and chipboard, are also from Dear Lizzy Lovely Day. There are also a few enamel dots that came with the kit. I want to say they are from Pinkfresh Studio, but I am not 100%. The black cardstock background also came with the kit, however I decided to spray a bit with white Heidi Swapp Color Shine from my stash. I think it breaks the “blackness” a bit and makes the background blend a bit softer with the heart die cut.
And here it is!
And a few close ups:
Good morning everyone!
Today I bring you my first project as Team Member of the Silhouette UK Blog. It is exciting, but also extremelly scary! I don’t think I have been using my Silhouette Cameo to its full potential in the slightest, so I am going to use this amazing opportunity to try new things! However, for my first ever project I wanted to go for something easy, something that I know well… and that is my beloved Personalised Bunting!
The beauty of the personalised bunting is that the base is quite straight forward, however you can then decorate it as much or as little as you want, and the finished product will always be unique!
Please pop over the Silhouette UK blog for a step by step tutorial. I promise it’s really easy!
Read you soon!

Today I bring you another layout that I made at the Scrap Cafe crop last weekend. I love how this layout came up! It is scraplifted from a very talented lady at the For the Love of Pretty Paper page, although I loved putting my spin on it!
The layout is part of the Book of Me. I talked about recently how the alphabetical prompts that I came up with were not suitable for scrapbooking layout format, since many of those prompts don’t have a photo. So, luckily, Paula – who came up with the idea of doing monthly prompts for the Book of Me in the facebook group, posted the prompt of “Decades” just the other day. The idea is scrapping a photo of you from a previous decade. I went with these photos of me from the very early 2000s, when I had my hair dyed in so many colours!
The pentagons die cut I designed from scratch and cut with my Silhouette Cameo. I found it simple enough to create, however I am aware that it is not perfect. The gaps between shapes are not all equidistant. For the papers I used Simple Stories Sunshine and Happiness and for the embellishments I went through my stash and combined lots of different manufacturers and collections. Theres Paige Evans Take Me Away, Simple Stories Posh, and a mixture of Bella Blvd Little Bits Stickers. I love how they all come together in the layout! The gorgeous colourful Thickers are from Shimelle’s new collection Little by Little.
The only thing that I don’t love about this layout is that the cut is not centred to the page, it is slightly crooked! If it keeps bugging me, I may trim the edges of the paper to make the pentagons be centred and then mat the cardstock on some pattern paper. But we’ll see if it bugs me or not!
So, here it is! I hope you like it 🙂
