Today I bring you another Chinese Whispers set of layouts! I was second in this sequence, and there is no sketch as far as I know (I’m sure there was one, it’s just that I haven’t seen it)
Here they go:
First one by Helen:
Which I scraplifted:
I then passed it on to Michelle
And last but not least, Lis:
I used Cocoa Vanilla Studio’s Endless Summer collection for my layout, and at the beginning I wasn’t keen on cutting the photos into circles, but I am actually in love with how this layout turned out so I won’t complain! One more close up:
Thanks for popping by and read you very soon!
Hello everyone and happy Monday!
Today’s layout is part of a crafty game that I took part on the Mind The Scrap group, called Chinese Whispers. The concept is very simple: One person creates a layout based on a sketch, then sends it to person number 2 to scraplift, who then passes on to person three and then four (or as many people as you want in your group!). There were four of us in my group.
So today I am going to show you the first set of Chinese whispers that started with me. I based my layout on a sketch I found on Pinterest, and created my layout with my June Lottie Loves Paper kit. Here it is:
I may retake the photo again at some point as this is not the best quality.
And here is the sketch:
I then passed on my layout to Helen, she passed hers to Lis, who passed hers to Michelle. Here are the next three:
And a close up of my layout so you can see the painted wood heart:
Thanks for popping over friends, and read you very soon!
Here’s another layout from the all day crop last week. This actually started as a scraplift of a Bea Valint layout but it took a bit of a life of its own and they don’t really look like each other much. But that’s ok! I took her layout as a starting point, rather than lifting it completely.
And here it is:
The papers are from the Dear Lizzy Collection “Saturday” and I chose them because of the apples and pears pattern paper, because it meant that the layout could also be part of the F is for Food challenge (although I never entered it last week)
I bought a few craft cardstock sheets at the crop and absolutely love the look and feel of them!
Here’s a close up:
The texture paste I borrowed from my friend Claire and it was very interesting! It wasn’t paste per se, but more like a mousse and it was fun to use! She bought a set of four from either Aldi or Lidl for just £5. That’s a bargain!
I hope you have liked this layout and see you again soon!
Yesterday (yes, on a Sunday!) I attended the monthly Scrap Cafe crop in Bracknell. I had no idea that it was going to take place until Georgia messaged me asking if I was coming… after arranging things with hubby, I said yes!
I had a great time chatting about all things crafty with like minded people, I really needed that! I wasn’t the most productive though and only managed two layouts, however I am very happy with both of them! It was quite warm in the room and I wasn’t feeling great, but I was happy to just sit there and chat.
I also tried a new approach and packed very lightly compared to every other time! I only took five or six thickers packs, a third of my embellishments, and a few already made kits (lottie loves paper mainly). And I must say that it worked quite well! I think my process is changing slightly and now I am ok with just using one collections or kit (rather than going through all my stash for one layout)
And without further ado, here are yesterday’s creations!
The papers in this layout are Cocoa Vanilla Studio and Shimelle (the navy one). I love how these papers look together and I have already used them before in this layout.
This layout is 99% Cocoa Vanilla Studio “you rock” and it is a scraplift, but I am quite happy how it turned out 🙂
I hope you have liked these layouts and thanks for visiting!
Hello lovely likers!
The admin team over at For the Love of Pretty Paper have started a new weekly challenge on the facebook group. It is called the “ABC challenge” as every week we will choose a random letter of the alphabet and pick a technique or stash item starting with that letter, and we have to make a layout with it.
So today is the first day of this challenge and the random letter that we have chosen is B, and the stash item is Buttons! I happen to have lots, so it was easy for me to incorporate them on my layout.
My layout is a scraplift from this one that I had pinned on Pinterest, and I also made a point of using old collections for my papers. I used some scraps that I still had left from two Lime Twist / My mind’s eye collections (Fly a kite & out of the blue). I am a tiny bit sad to have now finished using those collections, as they are old and no longer in stock anywhere, and I loved them! So bright and gorgeous!
And without further ado, here’s my layout:
