Hello everyone and happy Monday!
Today’s layout is part of a crafty game that I took part on the Mind The Scrap group, called Chinese Whispers. The concept is very simple: One person creates a layout based on a sketch, then sends it to person number 2 to scraplift, who then passes on to person three and then four (or as many people as you want in your group!). There were four of us in my group.
So today I am going to show you the first set of Chinese whispers that started with me. I based my layout on a sketch I found on Pinterest, and created my layout with my June Lottie Loves Paper kit. Here it is:
I may retake the photo again at some point as this is not the best quality.
And here is the sketch:
I then passed on my layout to Helen, she passed hers to Lis, who passed hers to Michelle. Here are the next three:
And a close up of my layout so you can see the painted wood heart:
Thanks for popping over friends, and read you very soon!
I am still in Spain, but I thought I would post a video that I uploaded to youtube the other day with all the layouts that I created in the month of June. I actually love making these videos every month or so, as it gives me another opportunity to look at them before I put them away in the albums!
Here is the video. I’ll be back soon, and already have some layouts planned for when I’m home!
PS: Youtube allows me to schedule videos and create custom thumbnails… Cool!! I was looking forward to that and it has finally happened!
Read you soon!
I am on the UK Scrap Addicts blog and YouTube channel today with a layout featuring a large photo. A huge one indeed! It is a whooping 8×10 inches 🙂
You can find the blogpost here: http://ukscrapaddicts.blogspot.com/2017/06/today-always-maria-la-chica-large-photo.html
And here is my video!
Thanks for visiting, and hopefully I’ll read you soon again!
Here’s another layout from the all day crop last week. This actually started as a scraplift of a Bea Valint layout but it took a bit of a life of its own and they don’t really look like each other much. But that’s ok! I took her layout as a starting point, rather than lifting it completely.
And here it is:
The papers are from the Dear Lizzy Collection “Saturday” and I chose them because of the apples and pears pattern paper, because it meant that the layout could also be part of the F is for Food challenge (although I never entered it last week)
I bought a few craft cardstock sheets at the crop and absolutely love the look and feel of them!
Here’s a close up:
The texture paste I borrowed from my friend Claire and it was very interesting! It wasn’t paste per se, but more like a mousse and it was fun to use! She bought a set of four from either Aldi or Lidl for just £5. That’s a bargain!
I hope you have liked this layout and see you again soon!
Hello again friends!
Today I want to show you another layout that I created at the Scrap Cafe all day crop on Saturday last week. I actually made this layout for one of the challenges, but I read the instructions wrong and I couldn’t enter it (the challenge was to use scraps – which I did – but the instructions said that the scraps couldn’t be more than 4cms wide and I misread that for inches, and I made my triangles 3 inches wide…)
I am still very very happy with the finished layout, though, so I am not sad at all that I couldn’t enter it in the challenge.
Here it is:
The papers I used were from scraps in my scraps box so I don’t really remember which collections they are from, sorry! The thickers and the embellishments are from Pink Paislee’s Fancy Free collection.
Here’s a close up:
I love love love this turquoise cardstock which I bought at the crop. I must buy more next time!
I hope you have liked this layout, and read you soon!
