Scrapbooking Layout – Beautiful

Hello again friends!

Today’s layout I also made at the Scrap Cafe crop in Reading a couple of weekends ago. I wasn’t feeling 100% inspired, so I went for a direct scraplift from the super talented Bea Valint. I used pretty much the same papers and embellishments too (Cocoa Vanilla Studio – Wild at Heart collection). I very rarely copy a layout almost identically, but this one was so pretty that I couldn’t help myself!

Here is my layout, and HERE is Bea’s original one:

Scrapbooking Layout – Morning Face

Hi all!

This is a layout that I made a couple of weekends ago at the Scrap Cafe crop in Reading. I was inspired by a layout I saw on Pinterest, however, I have been looking for it in order to link to it here and I can’t find it! I was just inspired by it, it’s not a straight scraplift, otherwise I would feel terrible! I always like giving credit where credit is due. I used Dear Lizzy Lovely Day papers and some embellishments from OneCanoeTwo “Hazelwood” collection.

The word “morning” was stamped, and I actually loved doing it… I have a few alphabet stamp sets and I very rarely use them! I need to get them out more 🙂

Scrapbooking Layout – We can help you paint

Hi all!

This is a layout that has been in the making for quite a while! I originally cut the hearts on my Silhouette to create the Hello Scooter layout. But I knew that I would be able to use the negative space as well, so when I was designing it, I placed the hearts carefully and also added the stitching lines outside the hearts.

Then, a couple of weekends ago, I did the stitching whilst I was at the Scrap Cafe crop in Reading (this has just reminded me that I haven’t shared the other two layouts that I created that day, so I will make a new blog post about those tomorrow).

And finally, I finished the rest of the layout on Saturday! So, yeah, a long time coming!

Here it is:

This was a fun layout to make, and I loved going through my stash to get all my yellow and green embellishments.
I hope you have liked it, and read you very soon!

Scrapbooking Layout – Pool Fun

Hello again friends!

Today I want to show you another layout that I created at the Scrap Cafe all day crop on Saturday last week. I actually made this layout for one of the challenges, but I read the instructions wrong and I couldn’t enter it (the challenge was to use scraps – which I did – but the instructions said that the scraps couldn’t be more than 4cms wide and I misread that for inches, and I made my triangles 3 inches wide…)

I am still very very happy with the finished layout, though, so I am not sad at all that I couldn’t enter it in the challenge.

Here it is:

The papers I used were from scraps in my scraps box so I don’t really remember which collections they are from, sorry! The thickers and the embellishments are from Pink Paislee’s Fancy Free collection.

I love love love this turquoise cardstock which I bought at the crop. I must buy more next time!

Scrapbooking Layout – Bedtime

Hello friends!

On Saturday I attended an all day crop in Bracknell. I was a bit late, though, as I also went to the theatre with the kids in the morning (I wouldn’t have missed their first theatre experience for anything in the world! and I am already looking forward to scrapbooking that event). So I got to the crop at around 1:30 pm and I stayed until 9:30pm. So a long time! Sadly, I wasn’t feeling 100% and I only completed 4 layouts in total, so not my most productive day but I still had a great time.

The first layout I want to show you, I actually started at home a few days earlier. I used a very similar technique than in my layout called Hello Scooter. I die cut some star shapes with my Big Shot and then splattered all over them with watercolours and some Heidi Shine too. I then stitched around the star shapes with black thread.

And here it is:

Since the layout is already so busy with the splatters, I decided to leave it pretty much untouched and only did a tiny bit amount of embellishing with some stars, a bit of journalling and the date.

Here’s a close up of the splatters:

I will post the other layouts in the next few days.

I hope you have liked this layout, and read you soon!
