Today I bring you a layout that I created last week for a quick game of “scraplifting” on the Mind The Scrap facebook page.
So I went through all the previous layouts that had been posted and I was really drawn to a mixed media layout by Emma Clark (who is the co-owner of Mind the Scrap). I loved how clearly defined her ink sprays were (mine mixed a bit) and how bright and colourful it was.
I sprayed directly into my textured cardstock. I didn’t bother with gesso (I hate the thing) even knowing that I was going to be applying texture paste. There is a tiny bit of warping, but it is not really noticeable, and you won’t see it when it’s on the page protector anyway. (Plus, gesso wouldn’t stop the warping anyway, it would just make the base harder)
So here is my scraplift!
And a couple of close ups:
Thanks for visiting today, and read you very soon!
Today’s layout I made for a challenge on the Mind the Scrap group. This week’s challenge is to scraplift other ladies participating in the event. There have been 5 weeks of challenges so far, although this one is my first week participating, so there are plenty of layouts to scraplift!
This is my layout:
I used the Felicity Jane “London” collection, and I am so happy that I have been able to make two layouts so far with this collection which are quite masculine!
Here’s a close up of that mini cluster at the bottom. The puffy camera is soooo gorgeous! I have a few of them that came in one of my Lottie Loves Paper kits, but I have no idea where they are from!
Thanks for visiting today and read you very soon!
Hello once again!
Today I bring you the last installment of my Chinese Whispers game!
For this set, my layout was the last in the series, and this series is the one where each layout is almost unrecognisable from the previous one and no resemblance to the original sketch!
Here is the sketch:
First take on the sketch by Michelle:
Who then passed it on to Lis:
Who then passed it to Helen:
And finally, my take on Helen’s layout:
This layout was hilarious to make, and a couple of people have commented on scrapbooking something so gross. But, hey, why not? Why scrapbook about first steps, first words, first everythings… So first lice infestation too! 😀
Thanks for joining me today and read you soon!
Today I bring you another Chinese Whispers set of layouts! I was second in this sequence, and there is no sketch as far as I know (I’m sure there was one, it’s just that I haven’t seen it)
Here they go:
First one by Helen:
Which I scraplifted:
I then passed it on to Michelle
And last but not least, Lis:
I used Cocoa Vanilla Studio’s Endless Summer collection for my layout, and at the beginning I wasn’t keen on cutting the photos into circles, but I am actually in love with how this layout turned out so I won’t complain! One more close up:
Thanks for popping by and read you very soon!
Today I bring you another layout from the Chinese whispers game I was telling you about yesterday. This is one of my most favourite layouts recently, I just love how well the black background works!
I was third on this round, so here are the sketch and the other layouts in order:
Unlike my set yesterday where all layouts stayed very similar to the original sketch, this set has changed so much from the first one to the last! Great evolution!
I hope you have liked it and read you very soon!
