Today’s layout has been made for the new letter prompt on For the Love of Pretty Paper’s ABC challenge. This week the letter is S and S is for Squares! We want people to feature squares on their layouts. Be it small squares or large ones, one or many… Up to you!
I have created quite a few “squarey” layouts lately, so today I wanted to make something a bit different and I decided to create just one big square as the main focus of the layout. I have used Cocoa Vanilla Studio “Wild at heart” collection, which is so gorgeous!
Here’s my layout and video! I hope you’ll watch!

Hello lovely crafters!
Unfortunately I don’t have anything new to show you today! However, I am currently working on a very cool Thank You card for my next Silhouette UK project, and I thought I would do a throwback to some 3D cards that I made in the past.
Here are a few of my favourite ones:
Cutting the sentiment on this card (“feliz cumpleaños mama”) was actually quite hard! The letters were so small and delicate! But on my second attempt I managed to get it right. This card travelled all the way to Spain as a present, and I believe the recipient loved it!
When I made this one I was already a bit more experienced, so the lettering wasn’t so much of a problem. The “issue” with this one is that I used chipboard embellishments which were quite heavy! The recipient of the card didn’t complain about any embellishments falling off, so I am hoping that it arrived in one piece!
This one was probably the last pop up box card that I made, and it is from February last year. It was for my husband’s grandma and she loved it. It was one of my favourite to make too, as the colours are just so gorgeous!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this Throw Back Thursday and hopefully I’ll have some more scrapbook layouts for you soon!
I am on the Silhouette UK Blog today with a quick tutorial on how to fill in text with patterns. This is ideal if you don’t have the right paper for your layout. The Silhouette Store has lots of printable patterns!
Please come over and have a look!

Today’s layout I made for a challenge over at the Mercy Tiara group. It was a tough challenge, I tell you!
The “recipe” was:
1. A theme of music and/or movies. This can be about a favourite song or movie or just a song or movie title as the title for the layout or even song lyrics or a quote from a movie
2. A grid style in part or all of the layout
3. Something black & white
5. A simple outline or sillouhette image, this can be stamped, stencilled or hand drawn
6. I’m scared to say it, but …. No letter stickers!
In addition to this list, there was also a tic tac toe challenge to go with it, and I also incorporated a line from the tic tac toe: Use a frame, stitching and use a list on your journalling.
And here it is! Unfortunately, these colours are hard to photograph!
Thanks for popping by and see you very soon!
This is a very small Throw Back Thursday, since the layout is only two weeks old! But I completely forgot to blog about it when I finished it, so here it finally is!
I started this page ages ago, in May… I applied gesso to the patterned paper background and then smeared some gold paint. Unfortunately, I hated the final result. Some people said to not give up and keep adding layers of mixed media. And that’s what I did. I wanted to make a layout about my dad, and because of the content of the letter, I knew I wanted the layout to be messy… hence I rescued the page.
So I added lots of ink sprays, modelling paste, more paint, splatters, stamping… And now I actually love how it’s turned out!
Here it is:
I know this is not my usual style, but I love getting messy with mixed media from time to time!
Here’s another close up:
