Scrapbooking Layout – Mr Potato dream

Hi all!

Here’s a layout that I created on Monday for this week’s challenge over at For the Love of Pretty Paper. This week’s letter is F, and F is for Food! I saw this photo of my son from when he was obsessed with his Mr Potato Head and I thought it was perfect for the challenge! I hadn’t put any of my stuff away from the crop yet, so I managed to get the layout done downstairs whilst the kids were happy playing with themselves. Let me tell you, this does not happen often at all!

I also took the opportunity to enter this layout in a mini challenge over at the Lottie Loves Paper facebook group. The challenge was to use a recipe: just one photo, at least four pattern papers, stitching of some sort, something turquoise, stamping, bling and enamel.

Here is my layout:

The papers are all from previous Lottie Loves Paper kits, and the word dream and the butterfly are from Shimelle’s starshine collection. It is a very simple layout, but I actually love the simplicity of it. It is funny how I either go for very simple or very busy layouts! Very rarely the middle point 🙂

Here’s a close up of the stitching, as it can hardly be noticed in the main image!

You have probably seen me use this combination of papers before, and that’s because I looooooove them! Haha 🙂

I hope you have enjoyed this layout and read you soon!

Scrapbooking Layout – Well fed dolls

Hello friends!

Today I am on the All Day Crop in Bracknell, so I expect I will be creating quite a few layouts to show you next week! However, before that, I want to show you the layout that I created for the new weekly ABC challenge on For the Love of Pretty Paper. This week the letter is F and F is for Food!

This is the perfect opportunity to use all those food embellishments that I very rarely use, like pineapples, cupcakes, strawberries, etc.

And here is my first layout!

I used a mixed of brands on this layout. The spotty paper is Echo Park Paper, the navy blue is Dear Lizzy, the embellishments are Simple Stories “posh” and the alphas are Hazel Thickers and Freckled Fawn. I love mixing up collections!

And a close up of the photo. Such a cute photo of the twins feeding “their babies” 🙂

Scrapbooking Layout – Summer time and the living is easy

Hello friends!

Today I bring you another layout that I have made for this week’s challenge of “T is for Tags” over at For the Love of Pretty Paper. This is my third (and last, I think!) layout 🙂

I also took the time to make a process video, so you can watch it here:

And if you don’t want to watch, that’s ok. Here are a few photos:

I used May’s Lottie Loves Paper kit, and although it was very very hot whilst creating it, I loved making it! Thanks for stopping by and hopefully I’ll see you soon!

Scrapbooking Layout – Somos familia

Hello lovely friends!

Today I bring you my second layout that I created for the “T is for Tags” challenge over at For the Love of Pretty Paper.

For this layout I used my Silhouette Cameo to design and cut part of the title, that says Familia (family in Spanish). It was very easy to create from scratch and it can be done with very basic knowledge of the software!

Here is my layout:

In addition to the tags for the title, I also put some journalling on a tag and hid it behind one of the squares of pattern paper.

Scrapbooking layout – Run wild and free

Morning everyone! Yesterday we started a new mini challenge over at For the Love of Pretty Paper, and this week the letter we have gone for is T, and T is for Tags! Until Friday next week, we are encouraging people to use tags in their layouts.

And here is my first layout!

Run wild and free | crafts by marialachica | scrapbook layout using Felicity Jane "London" collection

I have used the Felicity Jane “London” collection which I bought second hand recently. I also used it yesterday on another layout that I can’t show you just yet, so I have formed myseld an opinion on the products! And my first impression is this: the papers are super good quality, very pretty and I love the colours. Not 100% happy about the fact that there are so many solid papers and not enough patterns, but I can live with that. The sticker sheet is very pretty, but not happy about the fact that I had to fussy cut all the elements myself, and also, once you remove the backing paper of the sticker sheet, the sticker itself is a bit flimsy. I removed the backing paper on a couple of the stickers, and for the rest I have just added glue and used them not as stickers.
The embellishments are nice, but there aren’t enough in the packet. The alphas I absolutely love, so very happy with those.
