Cyber Krop

Hello everyone!

So yesterday afternoon/evening I got to participate in an online crop. It was like doing NSD all over again! It was actually great fun, because it was done with a very small group of people (I would say there were about 15 of us participating yesterday) so it felt cozy and very personal. The Cyber Krop was hosted by Katie and Julie, who run the Inspired by Memories group on Facebook.

There were 5 challenges yesterday but I only managed to make 4, which is amazing due to time constrictions and having the kids in the house in the afternoon, and then having to have dinner, and put them to bed and all of that! I did something that I hadn’t done in a very long time and scrapped well into the night! I went to bed at almost 1am!!!

So here are the challenges and my layouts:

Challenge 1: Make a layout inspired by the sketch below, with one rule: Ripped paper! (I don’t “do” ripped paper, so I kept it to a minimum)

You lift my heart up

Challenge 2: Theme is The Outdoors, and the layout must include 3 embelishment clusters, Layers, A hand cut title, buttons
and enamel dots and/or bling.

Challenge 3: Theme is “Let’s Eat”

Thai red fish curry

Challenge 4: Choose a title from these 3 words: Grow, change or thrilled. Use at least 3 of these mixed media techniques: stitching, gelatos, watercolours, mists, inks, enamel (and a few more that I can’t remember right now)

So thrilled

I didn’t get to even start thinking about challenge 5, and there will be a few more this afternoon, so we’ll see how many I get done in the end!

Thanks for visiting!

NSD Scrapbooking Layout – Follow your dreams

Hello friends!

I really hope you are playing along all the challenges over at For the Love of Pretty Paper and UK Scrap Addicts for this amazing weekend of NSD. I am having a blast!

For my first layout today, I am using a FREE cut file from UK Scrap Addicts. You can get it here.

However, despite having an electronic cutting machine, I wanted to use the cut file in a different way. So I printed in in 12×12 cardstock (I am lucky enough to have an A3 printer to do this) and I coloured it with my watercolours. The result is messy and totally not perfect, but that was my plan anyway. My layout takes inspiration from the Mandala, which can be interpreted like a dream for completeness and happiness. And I dream about this completeness and happiness, so this is what my layout is about.

Follow your dreams

I really hope you like it and it has inspired you to create your own!

See you very soon!

Scrapbooking Layout – Wells

Hello lovely likers!

Today I bring you a brand new layout about my recent day trip to Wells. Wells is England’s smallest city, and it is only considered a city because of the Cathedral! It is otherwise a very small town 🙂

I originally printed these photos to make a double page layout, but after playing a bit with the sketch that I wanted to follow, I changed my mind and started from scratch with this single page. I have kept it very simple, as I didn’t want to take any attention away from the photos. I have used Simple Stories “Heart” collection for the papers and there are only a couple of other elements which are also Simple Stories. The big title letters are from Pink Paislee “C’est la vie”. As the title has turned out quite big, I will be entering this layout on the April challege on In The Scrap.

And here is my layout and a few closeups:

I hope you have liked this layout, and see you soon!

Scrapbook Layout – Current Obsession

Hello all!

Today I bring you a brand new mixed media layout which is going on my Book of Me album, and it is all about my current obsession: Twenty One Pilots.

I know the band has been around for years, but I only discovered them at the beginning of 2017. My husband started playing their latest album in the car and although the style is not 100% my taste, I found them really catchy and suddenly fell in love with their music! I say that the style is not entirely my taste, because they have lots of elements of dance music (or “chunda-chunda” as I call it) which I am not keen on. However, the lyrics and more importantly the tunes are amazing, and I absolutely love the singer’s voice.

So this layout is really simple. In microsoft word, I pasted the lyrics to some of my favourite songs from their two latest albums, and send it to print! I have used 280gsm card, as I knew I wanted to do some mixed media and there is a bit of warping, but not too much, so I am quite happy. There is no journalling in this layout, as I think it speaks for itself.

Anyway, here are a couple of photos and a process video! I hope you enjoy it:
