Scrapbook layout – Rider

Hello everyone! Today I’ve got a layout that I’ve created with a sketch from the Stick it Down blog. It’s a very interesting sketch, and the layouts that I have seen created with it are very diverse… people have really taken very different interpretations!

This is my layout:

And this is the sketch:

I had these three strips of scraps leftover from a previous project and I promised myself that I was going to use them rather than throw them away (like a few people suggested!) so here they are! I have used mainly Paige Evans Oh My Heart collection, as I still have tons left!

Scrapbooking layout – Hello scooter

Hello everyone!

Yesterday I managed to get another layout done for the Red challenge over at For the Love of Pretty Paper.

I cut some hearts with my silhouette and placed them over a new piece of cardstock. I put a tiny bit of removable glue under each heart so they wouldn’t move, and then sprayed with red mist over each heart. I carefully removed the hearts and the result was quite cool!

I then stitched with black thread around the hearts and finished putting my layout together with gold hearts and other embellishments. I am so happy with the final result!! I hope you like it too!

Scrap Cafe crop – June 2017

Morning everyone!

Yesterday (yes, on a Sunday!) I attended the monthly Scrap Cafe crop in Bracknell. I had no idea that it was going to take place until Georgia messaged me asking if I was coming… after arranging things with hubby, I said yes!

I had a great time chatting about all things crafty with like minded people, I really needed that! I wasn’t the most productive though and only managed two layouts, however I am very happy with both of them! It was quite warm in the room and I wasn’t feeling great, but I was happy to just sit there and chat.

I also tried a new approach and packed very lightly compared to every other time! I only took five or six thickers packs, a third of my embellishments, and a few already made kits (lottie loves paper mainly). And I must say that it worked quite well! I think my process is changing slightly and now I am ok with just using one collections or kit (rather than going through all my stash for one layout)

And without further ado, here are yesterday’s creations!

Hello Nutella

The papers in this layout are Cocoa Vanilla Studio and Shimelle (the navy one). I love how these papers look together and I have already used them before in this layout.

Push!

This layout is 99% Cocoa Vanilla Studio “you rock” and it is a scraplift, but I am quite happy how it turned out ๐Ÿ™‚

R is for Red challenge

Hello lovely readers!

We have started a brand new weekly challenge over on For the Love of Pretty Paper facebook group.ย Last week the letter was B and the stash item to use were buttons. This week the letter is R and we have to use the colour red or be inspired by red on our layouts.

And these are the two layouts I have created so far! I may make one or two more by the end of the challenge week (next Friday) but I can’t promise anything!

You and me watching the footy

I really struggled to come up with my first layout featuring red. So I stopped to think what did red remind me of? And it came straight away. Red reminds me of Spain! So this is how this layout came to life:

You’ve got style

I decided to go a bit messy with a mixed media layout. I am still not sure that messy mixed media is “my thing”, I much prefer clean layouts, but these are fun to create from time to time. The secret is to keep adding things, even when you think you’re done! So I added acrylic paint with the bubble wrap technique, watercolours with the packaging technique, mists through a stencil, splatters and a bit of stamping too! I also added some cross stitching ๐Ÿ™‚

Silhouette UK blog – Sketch and cut in software version 4

Hello everyone!

I am on the Silhouette UK blog today with a tutorial on how to use the sketch pens in the new Version 4 of the software. I only updraded to version 4 the day before yesterday, so it was interesting finding my way around in the new interface! Some features are more straightforward now, but others are harder to find! And yes, you guessed it right, sketching in different colours was one of those harder-to-find features!

Anyway, please join me on the blog for the step by step tutorial, and I hope it’s useful for you!
