Well, both this blog and my YouTube channel are one year old! I have no idea where time has gone, but here we are, we year on and still loving blogging and making videos!
To celebrate the first anniversary, I asked the girls on For the Love of Pretty Paper to come up with questions and here it is! I hope the video is not too long and that you enjoy it!
Thanks for visiting!
Today’s layout has been made for the new letter prompt on For the Love of Pretty Paper’s ABC challenge. This week the letter is S and S is for Squares! We want people to feature squares on their layouts. Be it small squares or large ones, one or many… Up to you!
I have created quite a few “squarey” layouts lately, so today I wanted to make something a bit different and I decided to create just one big square as the main focus of the layout. I have used Cocoa Vanilla Studio “Wild at heart” collection, which is so gorgeous!
Here’s my layout and video! I hope you’ll watch!

Hello lovely crafters!
Unfortunately I don’t have anything new to show you today! However, I am currently working on a very cool Thank You card for my next Silhouette UK project, and I thought I would do a throwback to some 3D cards that I made in the past.
Here are a few of my favourite ones:
Cutting the sentiment on this card (“feliz cumpleaños mama”) was actually quite hard! The letters were so small and delicate! But on my second attempt I managed to get it right. This card travelled all the way to Spain as a present, and I believe the recipient loved it!
When I made this one I was already a bit more experienced, so the lettering wasn’t so much of a problem. The “issue” with this one is that I used chipboard embellishments which were quite heavy! The recipient of the card didn’t complain about any embellishments falling off, so I am hoping that it arrived in one piece!
This one was probably the last pop up box card that I made, and it is from February last year. It was for my husband’s grandma and she loved it. It was one of my favourite to make too, as the colours are just so gorgeous!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this Throw Back Thursday and hopefully I’ll have some more scrapbook layouts for you soon!
I haven’t got a new layout for you today, but I thought I would tell you about my second consecutive self imposed spending freeze this year.
The first spending freeze was at the beginning of the summer. We were going on holiday in July and I wanted to make sure to have plenty of spare cash for the holiday, so I decided to not spend much if anything at all in June. It went quite well, actually. Apart from my Lottie Loves Paper kit, I didn’t buy anything! And because I was on a spending freeze, I tried to save on postage of my kit and I didn’t actually get it delivered until recently! So it felt like I didn’t have anything new to play with.
I didn’t count how many layouts I made during this freeze. A friend of mine told me that she has self imposed freezes quite often too, to make sure that she actually uses the stuff she’s bought, and she sets herself goals, like 20 layouts before buying anything new. I think this is a great idea, however I have completely forgotten to carry it out myself this second time!
My second self imposed spending freeze started at the end of July. Unfortunately, things happened in our household that have made us tighten our belts, and whilst we are sorting things out, no spending it is! But this is a good thing, actually. I have so much stash to go through! If I manage to use even a third of my paper, for example, then I’m doing it right!
Sadly, this means that I’ve had to cancel my Lottie Loves Paper kit for the moment. And I’m gutted as the August kit was really gorgeous. But I need to get my priorities right!
So at the moment all the layouts that I am creating are using old collections. But that’s ok! I can still make them work!
In other news, this scrappy blog and my YouTube channel just turned one year old! To celebrate, I am planning a Q&A video on my channel. I asked for help with the questions on For the Love of Pretty Paper, and I have a list of approximately 20 questions. I just need a free day at home to film it and process it! Making videos takes so much time! I wonder how people manage to create and upload daily!! Kudos to them!

I am on the Silhouette UK Blog today with a quick tutorial on how to fill in text with patterns. This is ideal if you don’t have the right paper for your layout. The Silhouette Store has lots of printable patterns!
