On Saturday I attended an all day crop in Bracknell. I was a bit late, though, as I also went to the theatre with the kids in the morning (I wouldn’t have missed their first theatre experience for anything in the world! and I am already looking forward to scrapbooking that event). So I got to the crop at around 1:30 pm and I stayed until 9:30pm. So a long time! Sadly, I wasn’t feeling 100% and I only completed 4 layouts in total, so not my most productive day but I still had a great time.
The first layout I want to show you, I actually started at home a few days earlier. I used a very similar technique than in my layout called Hello Scooter. I die cut some star shapes with my Big Shot and then splattered all over them with watercolours and some Heidi Shine too. I then stitched around the star shapes with black thread.
And here it is:
Since the layout is already so busy with the splatters, I decided to leave it pretty much untouched and only did a tiny bit amount of embellishing with some stars, a bit of journalling and the date.
Here’s a close up of the splatters:
I will post the other layouts in the next few days.
I hope you have liked this layout, and read you soon!
Today I am on the All Day Crop in Bracknell, so I expect I will be creating quite a few layouts to show you next week! However, before that, I want to show you the layout that I created for the new weekly ABC challenge on For the Love of Pretty Paper. This week the letter is F and F is for Food!
This is the perfect opportunity to use all those food embellishments that I very rarely use, like pineapples, cupcakes, strawberries, etc.
And here is my first layout!
I used a mixed of brands on this layout. The spotty paper is Echo Park Paper, the navy blue is Dear Lizzy, the embellishments are Simple Stories “posh” and the alphas are Hazel Thickers and Freckled Fawn. I love mixing up collections!
And a close up of the photo. Such a cute photo of the twins feeding “their babies” 🙂
I hope you’ve liked this layout and thanks for stopping by!
Today I bring you another layout that I have made for this week’s challenge of “T is for Tags” over at For the Love of Pretty Paper. This is my third (and last, I think!) layout 🙂
I also took the time to make a process video, so you can watch it here:
And if you don’t want to watch, that’s ok. Here are a few photos:
I used May’s Lottie Loves Paper kit, and although it was very very hot whilst creating it, I loved making it! Thanks for stopping by and hopefully I’ll see you soon!
I was looking for a very specific photo the other day for an admin post over at For the Love of Pretty Paper when I came across scrapbooking memes. Tons of them. How had I missed them until now?
Just for fun, these are some of my favourite ones;
I hope you have laughed at them as much as I did! The shoes one is soooo true! I own like 3 or 4 pairs of shoes that I use regularly, when most women have more than double that! Pretty paper though….. I never have enough!
Read you soon!
Hello lovely friends!
Today I bring you my second layout that I created for the “T is for Tags” challenge over at For the Love of Pretty Paper.
For this layout I used my Silhouette Cameo to design and cut part of the title, that says Familia (family in Spanish). It was very easy to create from scratch and it can be done with very basic knowledge of the software!
Here is my layout:
In addition to the tags for the title, I also put some journalling on a tag and hid it behind one of the squares of pattern paper.
Thanks for visiting and read you soon!
