It’s is the end of the month and here’s my recap video with all the layouts that I’ve created this month. We had National Scrapbooking Day (or weekend!) and I also attended a crop the following week, which means I have been considerably busy! Definitely busier than previous months!
Here’s my video and I hope you enjoy it!
I just wanted to come in quickly to let you all know that this weekend is (Inter)National Scrapbooking Weekend! (It’s actually “Day”, not weekend, but you know us scrapbookers, we like to make the most of things and we have turned one day into a whole weekend)
We decided not to run anything on UK Scrap Addicts as there were already so many groups having events, and with the new team having just joined, we really didn’t have that much time to organise anything properly. And from my experience in the admin team for FTLOPP last year, these things take a lot of organization!
So I have just been participating in challenges for For the Love of Pretty Paper, and I have completed three for the Mercy Tiara group. I am hoping to get at least two or three more today, and perhaps catch up with the ones I didn’t get to complete tomorrow, which is a bank holiday!
Read you soon!
I’ve got a very special layout for you today as it has been created for National Scrapbooking Day! The lovely Natalie, who is admin on For the Love of Pretty Paper, asked me to collaborate with one layout for one of the challenges that they are organising for NSD and I was more than happy to oblige! The challenge is to make a layout without using trimmers or die cut machines, etc… Just you and your scissors!
And here is my layout:
I fussy cut all the speech bubbles which are from Shimelle’s latest collection and I also cut by hand the background paper!
And I also have a YouTube process video for you!
I hope you will join us with all the super challenges that they have organised for the weekend!
Here’s my video showcasing all the layouts that I have created in the last couple of months. Not too many, I know, but enough for a video nonetheless!
Thanks for watching and read you very very soon!
Hello lovely people!
I am back today with a layout that I started last Saturday at the Scrap Cafe retreat (yes, I know I haven’t shown any of my layouts here yet from that day! It’ll come soon…) It is a mixed media layout, and I didn’t have my stencils or stamps with me, so I decided to take it home to finish off here.
And here it is!
I have been saying lately how I am preferring “cleaner” and more simple layouts these days, however from time to time I still like to get messy with mixed media! There are ink sprays, texture paste, watercolour splatters, sequins, buttons, washi, thread, enamel, stamps…. so much!
And a couple more closeups:
I didn’t think a big title with thicker alphas would work, so I decided to go with the Tim Holtz tiny stickers, and I think they work perfectly!
Thanks for looking today, and see you very soon!
